Ringing in the New Year
Hello and Happy 2019! For any of you that have been checking in since my last post, I apologize, but it has been a crazy couple of months. So much that I could not find the time to get on here, although I thought about it every day.
Going from two to three kids feels like I took on so much more. Vinnie’s dance schedule (especially during The Nutcracker) is a daily task running him between two different dance studios, Max is an active kindergartner who thankfully keeps me laughing all day, and Rosie has just hit the 5 month mark. She is very aware, wants to be entertained all day, and is also, still breast feeding which always seems to make me have to pause every time I get going on something I need to scratch off my list.
So yes, I’ve been busy, and honestly, blogging was just not a priority during the holidays. I do hope that now things will calm down and I can make it on here more often. Something I have been able to get started on, and I am so excited to share with you all is my new partnership with Bombshell HQ!
This is a classic brand out of the UK and they do all the things I look for in a brand…. classic style, hemlines that go below the knee, top quality, and feminine prints & colors. Check out this beautiful, rose gold, sequin, wiggle dress named the Ultimate Bomshell with a cap sleeve. They also offer this dress in full length and 3/4 sleeve. I usually like to cover my arms, and would have loved to try that, also how beautiful would that be in full length too?! However, this cut to me is more versatile for date nights and other special occasions.
My long time friend Spike ( @spikeandthecamera) took these beautiful shots of me inside the 1953 Pontiac Chieftain my husband (@thedayolds) has rebuilt from the ground up. I think everything together looks so glamorous!
With a new year I wanted a new challenge, and the next big thing I am looking forward to is Viva Las Vegas in April. So starting today, January 1st, I want you to join with me in the 100 days of fitness! My husband and I have already cut out most starchy carbs, sugar, and junk food from our diets each losing 11 and 12 pounds. Now we want to push a little farther…
I already hit the gym 2-4 days a week, but I want to get back to a normal schedule, and see what difference I can see after these 100 days. Please join me! This can be a lot of fun to check in with each other and push one another along.
How will you stay fit every day for 100 days? My goal is to be at the gym at least 5 days a week, improving my regular workouts like running, weights, & Zumba. On the days I cannot make it there, I will do at least 100 crunches and 100 squats.
So my goal has a theme of 5’s: at the end of 100 days, I want to be running 5 miles a day, doing 500 sit-ups per day, and doing 5 minute planks. Totally doable if I build on it each day and stick with it. Join me and use #100dayswithTara
