Happy Wednesday! These images are coming to the blog a bit late because I have been either extremely busy or incredibly tired! These were shot a couple of months ago when I was 29 weeks pregnant, just as I was entering my third trimester. Fatigue & sleepless nights, as well as ending the school year, and finalizing a big project has been taking up all my time. But I have some exciting news below, so keep scrolling!
My goodness I thought I was uncomfortable and had a big belly in these photos at 29 weeks.... now I am under 15 days from my due date! Rosie is going to be here any day!
My cardigan comes from my friend over at Mischief Made and this is my favorite piece from her yet. Typically known for her vintage inspired original pinup artwork on soft tees, this is a classic cardigan done in a soft rosie (how appropriate) pink. Not only does it look cute, but she has made this pastel pink cardi from theee softest fabric, and has created a classic, sophisticated fan print on both sides of the bodice in black. Fingers crossed she continues on this cropped-cardi route, because I am all in!
My dress is from Stop Staring, a black wiggle with leopard detailing that I got a year ago and wore before I was pregnant. Luckily it has some stretch and slipped right over that bump! Not sure if it would do that today at 38 weeks...
ONTO THE ACCESSORIES WITH AN ANNOUNCEMENT!
This last year I have been trying to get my dream of starting my own clothing line started. This has been something I have been wanting to do since I was 14 years old. And even all these years later I still want to make the first thing I ever drew. Unfortunately, I have hit many walls, including running out of money to start a clothing line (it's a pricey venture!), having potential manufacturers and factories telling me "no" over & over, and trying to start such a large company with two kids and a baby on the way has proven to be too much. So... how about we start on a smaller scale?
Did you click the link? The Platinum Parlor Accessories Shop is inspired by my love of nostalgia & rose gardens. I am not an accessories designer, so no, I did not design these. Instead, this is a curated collection from multiple suppliers of scarves, jewelry, purses, & headwear that I am able to provide at affordable prices for vintage glam inspired gals, like myself! I am hoping to use this shop to eventually build on & become something more. I hope that one day that will become original clothing and/or shoe designs, but you never know where life will take you. Please follow along and see where this goes.
I would love to hear what you think of my new shop, as well as what more you would like to see. Comment below!
