Flashback to Blue Hair & Bow Blouses
Last Summer, I was searching for things that would help to stir some creativity. Brainstorming with Vinnie (who tends to be the one I talk to most about style), we decided on a temporary hair color swap. We headed to the local beauty store and found Schwarzkopf's Spray-In Instant Colors. I have been a fan of Schwarzkopf products for at least a decade, so I knew I'd be happy with their color products as well. In recent years, I have tinted my hair pink, but I really wanted to try something new, so we went for some minty blue or "Jade."
My only complaint of the blue hair (and same for when it was pink), is I felt limited to the colors I can wear. Certain blues didn't feel right. Vinnie says it's just me, but yellow felt horrible, red seems too vibrant, and green made it look more green than blue. BUT! Pastels were pretty awesome. I was surprised how many compliments I received in public, most being from little kids. So cute!
Another mention about this particular product is how long the color lasted. The product packaging said it would rinse out in three washes, but I still had blue showing well after 12 washes. I know this has to do with me being platinum blonde, but Schwarzkopf could instead give a range based on beginning hair color. I'm sure some would find this as a big plus, but for me I got a little frustrated with how long my hair was blue for.
